  1. This episode was so good and something i've been thinking about for many many months. As someone who's been going to SAL meetings for almost 6 years I recently within the last 6 months stopped checking in by saying Hi i'm Chas i'm a sexaholic. I've grown and changed so much in my recovery over the years that i no longer see myself as that "addict" who was completely out of control and so it wasn't sitting well with me to continue to call myself that as that's no longer who I am as a person. At a time it seemed more accurate and was helpful to say as i tried to own my situation, but as real recovery and change has happened in my life it no longer feels useful to me and by stopping this practice (even when im sure there's some in my group who are thinking "why doesn't he say he's a sexaholic?") it's helped my rid myself of shame which i've found to be the root cause of so many of my challenges in life. Thanks again for the great podcast and work you both are doing!
