Our Story

Why We Came Together

We were born brothers... so we didn't have much choice there 😆 🤣. But since then...

The Therapy Brothers began with a unique blend of shared DNA and divergent professional paths. Brannon Patrick, a seasoned clinical therapist specializing in intimacy and betrayal trauma, and his brother Tyler Patrick, also a highly respected therapist with a focus on sex addiction and relationship dynamics, grew up with a front-row seat to the complexities of the human experience.

While they built separate, successful private practices, they remained bonded by a common frustration: the realization that the most life-changing therapeutic insights were often locked behind the closed doors of expensive office sessions. They shared a vision of making profound emotional healing accessible, relatable, and—above all—human.

The transition from siblings to co-hosts happened organically through their constant "shop talk" during family gatherings. They realized that their natural chemistry allowed them to tackle heavy, often taboo subjects like sex, shame, and connection with a rare balance of clinical expertise and brotherly banter. This synergy birthed the Therapy Brothers podcast, a platform where they could strip away the clinical jargon and provide "therapy for the rest of us."

By combining Brannon’s direct, challenge-oriented approach with Tyler’s empathetic, deep-dive perspective, they’ve created a space where listeners feel both understood and pushed to grow, proving that the best breakthroughs often happen when you treat the work of the soul like a conversation between brothers.

We Really Are Therapists And Brothers

We grew up in a family of 5 siblings and an awesome Mom and Dad in a suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah. We had everything a couple of American boys could ask for, a great neighborhood, tons of friends, and the best family.

Growing up together, we always had fun doings like watching He-Man, wrecking the fridge, and pranking the neighbors. Our Mom and Dad taught us as best they could with all the energy that we had. We were constantly getting into trouble and finding ways to have fun.

The Therapy Brothers

The Individuals behind The Program

Tyler Patrick LMFT

"The Wandering Therapist"

Known to many as "The Wandering Therapist," Tyler isn't just a clinician who talks the talk—he’s spent the last 15 years walking the road of his own recovery. He knows firsthand that the path from shattered to whole is messy and difficult, which is exactly why he’s so passionate about helping others navigate it. With nearly two decades of experience in sexual addiction recovery and betrayal trauma, Tyler brings a rare blend of professional expertise and "in-the-trenches" empathy to his work.

When he isn’t co-hosting the Therapy Brothers podcast or guiding clients through deep shame resiliency, you’ll likely find him fly-fishing, backpacking, or training his German Shorthair Pointer, River. For Tyler, therapy isn’t about becoming "perfect"; it’s about becoming a person of courage and love who is authentically connected to God, themselves, and the people who matter most.

Brannon Patrick LCSW

If you’ve ever felt like you’re the only one struggling with the "heavy stuff," Brannon is the guy who makes you realize you’re definitely not alone—and that there’s a clear way out. As the other half of the Therapy Brothers, Brannon has spent years specializing in the intersection of intimacy, shame, and betrayal trauma. He’s built a reputation for being a "straight-shooter" who doesn't just offer surface-level advice; he digs deep to help men and women break the cycles that keep them stuck.

Brannon’s approach is rooted in the belief that while the journey is individual, the healing happens in the light. When he isn't busy recording or guiding clients through life-altering breakthroughs, Brannon is all about his family and finding ways to live out the very principles of connection he teaches every day. He’s here to remind you that your story isn’t over—it’s just getting to the good part.

Core Focus Areas

The podcast primarily serves individuals and couples navigating high-conflict or traumatic relationship issues, including:

  • Betrayal Trauma: Helping partners heal after infidelity or broken trust.

  • Addiction Recovery: Specifically focusing on sexual addiction and pornography consumption.

  • Shame Resilience: Breaking down the "shame cycles" that keep people stuck in toxic behaviors.

  • Healthy Masculinity: Addressing the "Mr. Nice Guy" persona and helping men embrace authenticity and boundaries.

Show Format

  • Call-In Style: A major draw of the show is its live-interaction format. Listeners call in with real-life, "uncomfortable" questions, and the brothers provide immediate therapeutic insights.

  • Frequency: They typically stream live on YouTube (often Mondays and Wednesdays) and release edited episodes weekly on major platforms like Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

  • Vibe: While professional, the tone is conversational and "in the trenches." They often share personal anecdotes and emphasize that while they are therapists, the podcast is a space for discussion rather than a substitute for clinical therapy.

The Hosts

  • Brannon Patrick: Specializes in attachment and addiction; he also hosts The Betrayed, The Addicted, and the Expert.

  • Tyler Patrick: Focuses on "Wholehearted" living and nature-based therapy; he is a founder of the Love Strong therapeutic community.
